Realm Seekers is a new rare Elf Scout card from Conspiracy. It enters as a 0/0 with X +1/+1 counters where X is the total number of cards in all players’ hands. For a 6 drop, this doesn’t sound all that exciting. However, it does have an ability for 2G that allows you to remove a +1/+1 counter from Realm Seekers, and search your library for any land card and put it into your hand.
As an Elf, Realm Seekers should find room somewhere as a bit of a mana ramp card. Specifically, Realm Seekers will be seeking out non-basic lands, and there are a few useful ones in Conspiracy. In Commander, it could search for options such as Oran-Rief, the Vastwood and, if you happen to have one, Gaea’s Cradle. With Exploration also being included in Conspiracy, Realm Seekers could end up being a pretty good pick, as only required two Green in its cost makes it somewhat splash-able. There are plenty of Elf lists that could like find some room for it in Commander.
In Vintage Masters online, there is the added benefit that said set will benefit from having dual lands included in it. Realm Seekers becomes a lot more valuable there.
Overall, it’s a decent little ramp card that could find some homes in some Commander Elf lists and be an okay card to draft in Conspiracy.
